Or

"I was walking down the street, listening to my walkmen when in front of me I saw a skunk and thank god I'm a real man, so I pulled out my 18 inch manhood and hit the butterer in the head and then I went home."

"I was walking down the street, listening to my walkmen when in front of me I saw a skunk and thank god, for I had a hot date that evening and had forgotten to use my deodorant so after a few quick rubs under each of my pits i was feeling fresh as a massingale morning."

I don't capitalize god because I don't think "god" is a name... of like, a person or whatever. I am god, you are god, Eagler is god, this table is god and that TV is god... It's a beautiful thing. I'm a rank amateur when it comes to this stuff but it's all good.

[edit]

but enough about this stuff....

The "walking down the street" variations are pure gold. Keep 'em coming. :)
