Odd graphics bug

Notice the strip under the gunsight and the trim gauges.

I don't know what caused it  - , the new version   or upgrading to the latest graphics drivers.  Using 9600Xt latest catalyst and omega drivers

I hadn'y really noticed it before  ( I don't look at gauges much)

Looking at some other planes  many of the gauges are missing.

PS

Just checking some other planes  - and the LA 7 has no right wing if that helps.

I also unchecked loading textures , so it's not to do with the memory load.

Most planes have the graphics for some of the  gauges missing, but the gauges themselves work

Missing dash board
« Reply #3 on: August 14, 2004, 11:32:46 PM »
At one point, I lost the dashboard in the 109e4, but not in other planes.  This allowed me to see through the dashboard and see enemy planes, terrain, etc.  I could still see the instruments, which were not see-through, but the dash was see-through.  It occurred after I had been horsing around with the film viewer, but I'm not sure whether or not that caused it.  Changing viewing resolutions to something other than 1024x768 did not alter the behavior.  It persisted in Aces High and in the film viewer.

I just uninstalled Aces High and reinstalled it, and that fixed the problem.

Redd:

I've had the similar thing happening.  No changes with regards to my vid drivers.  I was losing alt and rpm gauges.  It still happens from time to time.  The only way I have found to reset it is to make AH2 reload the aircraft model texture cache or whatever by changing the video settings to force it to kickoff and redraw them.

Hope they can find a fix for this soon.

Thanks Tango - that did the job

Switched to 512 textures  - then back again to 1024 , after the reload  everything was back to normal.
