Can't start!!
« on: July 07, 2004, 10:20:53 PM »
I just downloaded AH2005, and I am unable to start the program successfully!  I have met all of the minimal requirements and I do have dirextx9.0b.  When I do start the game, I get a light blue screen that keeps flashing different symbols, as well as the game's logo.  I also see something that looks like a notepad flashing by, but it doesn't resolve!  I checked and my drivers are up to date and I am out of ideas!  Help please!

Run dxdiag and post results here. Also do you have a firewall running?

Click on Start > Run > type dxdiag > wait for it to finish running > click save info then copy and paste in next post.

Well. to have any chance at all, you will need to get a driver update for the video card.

I gather this is a laptop?  If so, you would have to check with Gateway about it.

Thanks Skuzzie!  it turned out that there was 1 small driver missing!  After I spoke with Gateway and got the update everything works.  Looking forward to trying this game out.  Thanks for the help.  :-)
