The only time I got the "crabs" was when I was stationed in Panama. Tried the normal cures/dips
to get rid of em, but none worked. So I sauntered over to the PX and got a can of RAID. Hosed myself down and lo and behold those little buggers were very susceptible to chemical warfare. Hope this helps
