Nice to see that AH won it by a non-bias, unaffiliated sim website!

Well, now SimHQ is my website of choice. Ever since that sweetheart deal dogfighter.com pulled with Warbirds, I've removed their bookmark.

Interesting that #1 AND #2 were both WW2 online sims.

HTC, you deserved it.

Congrats, HT and crew. Well deserved

What's interesting is that in both the SimHQ and Dogfighter awards, AH and WB were neck and neck. I wonder which way Dogfighter would have swung if they'd had 1.05 to play with before making the call.

FWIW, I think folks trashing dogfighter as biased is lame. It's not like they trashed AH, people - they said it was almost too close to call. DF gives AH a LOT of positive press.

In any case, congrats, HTC!

Right now Dogfighter's news briefs in left column have THREE Aces High newspieces, one WarBirds piece and three other pieces.

So, they're a WB magazine? Tilted towards WB?

FYI, AGW has always been independent forum. It hasn't always resided in Dogfighter and Dogfighter wasn't their only choice when they had to move to new location. Dogfighter's offer was accepted but aside that, they dont have anything else to do with AGW than providing some server space.

Some people here seem just plain stupid in their opinions. Sorry, IMHO.

And WTG people behind Aces High!

Grats to all HTC! AH really is a masterpiece (that keeps getting better!). I really love to see small group of hard working people come up with something incredible. Sometimes more is not better... and I really think the small HTC staff has *helped* the development of AH... would love to come up with an idea and run with it instead of sitting through 50,000 planning meetings where by the time the idea gets implemented it is irrelevant.... anyway... keep doing what you are doing HTC, AH is one heck of a sim. It shows that some very motivated people have poured their heart and soul into it and come up with a gem. Of course... we knew it all along... =)

LOL!  My guess that it might be because Warbirds hasn't changed squat.

BTW.. those three "articles" are simply the postings in the Announcements portion of this board.  One reason they don't have to do that for iEN is because iEN posts them on AGW themselves.  Of course... the last three weeks worth of output have looked like a prime example of "save as..." in action.

Well. It is not a singular opinion and one I've had before AH was even about. DF is an E-zine begun by WBer's and maintaned by mostly WB'ers with nominal free lance input by other sim/game reps. Sure they give alot of press to AH, but they do also for WB's and many other sims/games. IMO,  when Rafter left it created a hole at DF that Phaetn, bless em for trying, has not been able to fill single handedly. But Phaetn,  Scop, Wily, Target - all of the regular staff and half the DF network are sites all connected to WB's or iEN one way or another.
It's natural to lean towards what one likes.
