No More Instant Damage Repair

...for GV's.  No more instant rearming either.

Else, add an instant repair function for planes that fly through a fighter hangar.  That would be just as ghey.

I remember one fight that I lost M8 vs Ostwind.

First I came across an M3 that despawned just after I saw it, giving me a proximity kill.

I continued over a small hill towards the location the M3 had been.  This proved to be the spawn point though I did not know that at the time.

As I came down the hill an Ostwind spawned and I proceeded to shoot him, targeting the turret and hitting it with five of my six shots, all from less than 100 yards.  Now, if an M8 hits a Panzer IV H's turret in the rear from that range the turret is destroyed.  The Ostwind in this case got got oriented and proceeded to blow me apart with his automatic 37mm cannon.

I then, being frusterated at having the thin Ostwind turret armor apparently keep my 37mm AP rounds out, said on the open channel (this was in beta) that it was BS.

It developed that what had really happened was that the M3 that had despawned had not despawned due to my M8 at all.  It had despawned because it had finished dropping all of the Vehicle Supplies that it was carrying.  The driver never even saw my M8.  When he respawned in the Ostwind he was sitting on the Vehicle Supplies and when each of my shots took out his turret, his turret was instantly repaired.

My M8 was fighting a nearly impossible fight.

I agree with this wholeheartedly. I believe some aspects of realism are best left abstracted for the sake of playability, for example the strat system. But, this is not one of those situations where abstraction benefits gameplay or the game in general.

The re arm pad sequence would seem appropriate...............(30 sec no move ment)

Infact given this why not allow all landed aircraft in range of supplies to take them on under the same rules.

I have to agree.

Its entirely too easy now if you can get someone to shuttle supplies to you.

To sit there & keep hitting the resupply button every time you hear a ping.
Meantime your in the turret banging away.

Should be available ONLY from the drivers position.

Bah, the solution is simple.
Do what I do. Move to a location close but hidden say behind a small him. then steall ALL the supplies.

When I find enemy supplies by enemy GVs I dont just take what I need. I take ALL of em.

Another thing Ill do is if I manage to knock out  a turret I just keep my aim on that one specific spot and wait till you see him stop smoking. then knock his turet out agan.
Repeat as needed untill he runs out of supplies

Even when you click on supplies you still have to move to the drivers position then back to the gunners position to implement their use. Otherwise you may have em. but you cant use them
