Being that both Robey and Eagl are/were Pigs at the time, and I was "in the industry" I had an interesting vantage point for this whole mess.

For example, the "screenshots" Voss posted of TAS used the stock 3D Max textures. My art director (none other than the legendary Max Remington of MPS/OSI/EA fame) spotted that in about a nano-second.

Robey was seriously spun up after Voss continued to claim he was a USAFA grad in emails exchanged between the two. Apparently Voss miscalculated or didn't realize Robey was a retired USAF Major. Eagl was a recent USAFA grad, and was more than happy to help Robey discover the truth. Robeys eventual findings are posted above and stand on their own.

I do have to agree with "Avenger"; invoking the name of Voss *will* get the attention of some of us "oldtimers" - we saw it first hand, and believe knowledge is the best defense to ensure it doesn't happen again. Voss is clearly unrepentent to this day.

Finally, Rip, you and I have seen eye to eye on many things, but in this case, I think you are dead wrong. In case you don't have all the history, I strongly suggest you do a simple usenet seach - all you need are the words "voss" and "robey". It's all there. Voss is no better than one of these wannabes that claims to be an ex-SF operator. As a vet, I am personally offended by Voss and his clear lack of respect for those that did serve.

Smut, the whole purpose of this thread from the get go was because Voss/Meta has been beating Fester in the MA at his own "games" he plays. Fester had to take retribution. This thread was it.

It was a dead topic, til yesterday.

If anyone can't see thru that thin veil of innocence, then Festers job is complete.

Divide and conquer. Its a tactic that works in any situation, and Fester makes a living at it.

Guys. This topic is getting air play on other webboards too. Matter of fact it's the only entertainment playing on the new AGW webboards these days.

I'm not saying anything about Avengers identity but just because someone with low or a no-post count comes in and adds thier .02 about Voss does not mean they are new to the flight sim community. This happens every time a good thread about Voss springs up be it here or in the past on the old AW and WB's forumns.

he is in real life a "man" who stands about 5'2".

rip... you can dislike fester but you are dead wrong on the voss thing. the man is a scumbag. this busher guy may or may not be a great guy... the hornets (whoever they are) may be great guys but...

You are all tainted by haveing this nutbag in your squad. We have vox and radio and interact with players. I can't think of any player I would shun in this game except voss.

I would not be in a squad that had him in it once it were known. If slo wants to pee in my cereal I invite him over... he can even have voss stand on his shoulders to look more menacing.

Does anyone recall voss's 109 test flight and crash landing?

Even a thread like this won't shake metatrons arrogance. He was quite for a while but.... heeeeees baaaack...

and that's why this thread needs to pop up every once in a while.

smack him down before his ego starts running away again...

sure.. it's great fun to fool and con rip and a bunch of foreigners but... need to nip it in the bud or, at least confine the damage to the "hornets".

Oh, and Lazs...the hornets is not "my" squadron. I'm just a member, and proud member of being in AH #1 squadron.
