Speaking of recently "disproved" scientific theories...

Got an email not too long ago from some dude in China, hdgbyi@public.guangzhou.gd.cn (if you wanna email him) claiming to have disproven the Heisenberg uncertainty principle...

Next thing you know, they'll be telling people Santa Claus isn't real.

righty

Evolution:

Those with hair on their head after age 40 are genetically closer to upright walking apes than those who have evolved (with no hair on their heads) :D

Well given the fact that older and older specimens related to human development are being discovered in Africa's Great Rift Valley (a 6,000-mile fissure stretching from Lebanon to Mozambique). the development and timeline of early man is constantly being pushed back because of ongoing discoveries there.

One of its most dramatic sections slices through East Africa, dividing Kenya into two segments.

Who knows, maybe these "experts will actually find evidence of the "mud people" afterall...

Obviously this human ancestor had to evolve in one place.  Perhaps one population wondered off and later rejoined (and interbred) with the other population.

The theory seems to be that the intial migration of hominids(originating in africa apperenlty) populated Eurasia and then evolved into distinctive sub species because they had millions of years to do so. The second wave of bipeds starting 70 000 years ago spread from africa again and interbred with the varios exisiting decendents of the first migration. Leading to the sub species we have now.
No one is debating apperanlty wether we are one speicies. The debate seems to be whether these 3 or more distinctive sub speicies could be called different races.  Or maybe its if they are distinct enought to even call them sub species?
It seems that some feel that the second migration replaced the first migration. Some feel the second migration joined the first migration and that we are all blends of first and second migration.

The second seems likely to me. As it alows for the gentic diveristy we have while showing that we do have a common ancestor at the root of the second migration.

I'm still waiting for some chimp from outer space with a large helmet to come to Earth and say

I AM YOUR FATHER!

Now that would be something to see!

There was a fertile female mule some years back.  If I recall her name was "blue"
