I was, already before the BIG icons came, going to ask a possibility for map icon and map text sizes to be made adjustable in the settings like we can adjust the plane icons.

These new map icons make the map pretty unreadable :( I would rather have them much much smaller, even smaller than what they were before.

Also, another solution for displaying the uncapturable bases (istead of different size) could be the reversed icon, like when they are flashing, but without the flash.

like this:
capturable= black background, runways with color
uncapturable= color background, runways with black

I agree it's hard to see the radar dots/dar bar now.  I was just thinking reverse the icons so the permanent fields are the big ones.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

Just right click on the map, and turn the icons off when you need to.

Since most are capturable, how about making the uncapturable bases large and the ones we fly over, the capturable, small.

Just a thought.

How about -

1) Make the uncaptureable bases random each time the map loads (no predictability).
Probably exclude ports and vbases from the uncapturable category.

2) Only the enemy can see which of your bases are uncaptureable all you see for your own country is standard icons.

Both work together to make maps less predictable.

How about put the bases back to the size they used to be and have them ALL capturable again?

So bish & knits could capture all rooks bases, then fight for another week without anyone winning reset. Meanwhile all rooks just look for another game to play?

Or getting totally rid of the current capture system, so that we can watch again 2 countries constantly ganging up on the third map after map??

While I resent many changes in the last months for various reasons, this one is a good one.

Wow, that's kinda funky. I do like the idea of being able to scale the clipboard icons and info though.

I know the big field icons are something already in the game. So, it did not require anything new to add them to the capture system. If HT decides to keep it, I would hope he finds a better method to display which fields are capturable.

I turn the base icons off and solve the problem but I agree those big icons are even worse then the already annoying small ones.
