He's going to run Trebek into the poor house!  That is pretty funny though.  I wonder how long they'll let him stay.

He has such an advantage now. I’m sure he is a lot more relaxed then the newbies  and he’s really gotten the timing down— there are times when he seems to ring in before he knows the answer and then uses the next few seconds to come up with something.

They’ll keep him on the show as long as he keeps winning. It’s got to be good for ratings – those that like him want to see how much he’ll win and those that don’t like him wanna see him get beat.

Won't he put Trebek into a 'bigger' house?

As in they have to pay the winner regardless, and unless he is winning by insane amounts, I can't see it doing anything but just skyrocket ratings, which in fact it is.

How long will they "let" him stay?

I'm guessing your not a Producer Hawk. Wish I was. On Jeopardy. The last month or 2.

He can't ring in before Trebek has finished reading the answer.  The system is locked until that point.  He can get good at timing it so he anticipates when it will be unlocked, but he then is still competing against the others at that point.  Before a contestant is on the show, he/she has been through practice rounds learning how that works.

As far as costing them money, he is making them a fortune.  Ratings are up something like 35%.  He is money in the bank for them.  He makes 50G a show, Ray Romano makes close to 2 million a show.  50g is nothing in TV land.
