Huh? What's wrong with the current("Pips" Priller?) A-8 paintjob? It's not much different from the top R7, except for the cowl and fuselage band colouring.
Looks lacking compared to the P47 and other newer artwork.
And maybe you'll notice the lack of cowl MGs on 3 of them. Well those are Osprey color plates so guess they might not be too accurate on such details.
Cowl MGs were often removed to save weight on certain 190s. This was true especially on anti-bomber specialist 190s where the cannons were the mainstay for anti=bomber operations.
Nath, what do you expect to gain over the current 190A8 with 30mm (I assume both are Mk108's)?
Not that I'm against the R8, I just figure the performance loss for the extra armor would override what little protection benefit you would gain. Armor in aircraft is a relative term.
Worked well for the Luftwaffe irl 
There needs to be a CM command that lowers buff lethality to realistic levels and/or a toggle for collective firing.
Btw; the bottom two aircraft appear to have the cockpit side armour, but not the canopy glass. The second one appears to have no armour at all.
The second one is an A-8.
There were 'blinkered' and 'unblinkered' versions of the R8, I wouldn't say that a 190 wasn't an R8 just because it didn't have the glass on the cockpit sides.
