It's pretty much a summer job only and it's kind of late to get started.  It also can be hard to find a fishing job in Alaska; if you do however, they can pay very well and come with incredible risks.  Many other fishing jobs in Alaska are just as dangerous and pay just as well.  About 75 Alaska fishermen die a year out of only a few thousand.  About as many firefighters die a year nationwide, out of two million.  And you though firefighting was dangerous…

What skills do you have? How much money do you need to start again?

I typed   "how do I get a job in Iraq?" into askjeeves.com and found this site in 1/3rd of a second.

If you can pass this test the benifits are great

give it a try!

Sounds about right

There must be well over 10,000 American workers there.
How many exactly have had their heads cut off?

I'm sure many have been injured but job related I would imagine.
I'm not scared of hard work or fighting for my life if need be and could use the time away anyway. Fishing for  King crab sounds a lot worse than Iraq plus i can't swim. hehe.

looked for some links online and seems US Army Corps of Engineers is the place I should go to. There is one here in Chicago, (111 N. Canal) I'm going to take the drive and see what I can find out then head over to the beach for a swim in the shallows. I can swim about 50 yards before I sink. I know my limit without waves. hehehe

Seriously, I'm wondering where i can find one.

I had a company, bills became overwelming after I got sued and I had to close the doors. Now I need to raise capitol to try it again.
I figure, I'm not married and have no kids and willing to take a chance at making some good tax free money overseas and come back home in  a year or two for a fresh head start.

Any links you could send?

Odds are good I won't loose my head so i'll give it a shot

what professional skills do you have? also you dont need to go to iraq to make good tax free money.

Ask Oz.  He just switched jobs from crapwhackistan to Iraq, and he might have some info.

These guys http://www.encs.com were here in Ireland recently looking to hire sales agents to sell cars at a discount to US military personnel overseas in places like Iraq.  Looking at the list of Mid East sales agents on the website there are a lot of Irish names there so it seems they managed to hire a few Paddies not scared to lose their head.  I'd guess they might still be looking for a few more sales agents. Do you think you might make a good car salesman?

No, i think Pongo was very helpful. Look at all the job openings and companies that hired them.

I'm sorry for those lost souls and admire their courage. I believe many of them were there to try and make a difference.

I can see why you would think that.
I posted a link to a job site that he asked for.
I posted a link to the army
I posted a link to the casualties that contractors have suffered.
So I can see why that means I dont want democracy in Iraq.

I know you do. You want to hand every person in Iraq a piece of paper for them to pick who thier leader will be.
The demograhics for Iraq look like this.
"Ethnic groups: Arab 75%-80%, Kurdish 15%-20%, Turkoman, Assyrian or other 5%

Religions: Muslim 97% (Shi'a 60%-65%, Sunni 32%-37%), Christian or other 3%
"
So. What did you think the result of Democrocy in Iraq would be Ripsnort?  And will Fox News accept the results of democracy in Iraq?
