50% of the time people are complaining about CTDs.

Here are some things to ask yourself:

1. Have you run a P2P(iMesh, Kazaa) program in the past 24-48 hours? Skuzzy tested and his results showed that a system does not return to normal untill about 24 hours after the P2P connects to the internet.
2. Do you leave your antivirus system running? I do this because it doesn't effect my game performance all that much, but when Norton's Autoupdate comes on, I CTD.
3. Is your memmory running low when playing the game? I've never had this problem because I just bought a gig, but the HTC crew has warned about this and have been trying to fix it.
4. I saw someone complaining that they have run every one of their software programs flawlessly but now AHII doesn't work. How old is the software you're bragging about, and is it by a reliable company? If you're using things from people like Maxis, Microsoft and such, these people sit there for months and months to perfect the game, then pay other people to sit on their arses for months and months to test it, and then it needs patches when it's released. Most of the time when you buy a boxed game, it's been patched(unless you buy it on the release date), and think:HTC saved us money by not paying people to sit on their butts and beta-test. We'd be paying more to cover those costs.
5. Some of these people are in here with Pent2s that are complaining that it's too slow or crashes a lot.  Sure, some gurus can make P2s run like a dream, but most of the time with these folks, it's just not the game that's pissing them off.

I can't think of any more right now. Feel free to flame me, because I know you want to ;)

What do you mean???????
How could it heppen......
It can only happen if someone tryes to connect you after you use such software....

This can be only in case you have constant IP addres...... if you reconnect mosly system gives you new IP - and the computers just can't connect to you if you use other IP?

Did I miss something?????

Or that is relates to computers that running as servers with constant IP? (should you run AH in such computer at all?)

Artik, if that was the case, how would they connect to you if you rebooted your computer, and got a new IP #?

Trust me, when it comes to networking skuzzy is GOD.

I've run some independant tests myself.
Because I didn't believe it either.
If I run a P2P software, within 24 hours my ping to HTC goes from 90's to 130.

Well I'm on DSL so thats no big deal in itself, but it does point the finger to exactly what skuzzys saying.

Uninstall the software, wait 3 days, pings back into the 90's again.

And thats just PING time, not talking about cpu cycles, and latency.
