Monitor advice
« on: July 21, 2004, 08:09:33 AM »
My old 21" monitor is starting to turn up its toes. What with the screen twitching and the sudden blackouts that needs a quick flick of the power switch to restore the screen, it's time to think about a replacement.

I'm looking at a TFT alternative, about 17" (19" is waaaay too expensive), but I've heard critisism that the response times on these monitors are too slow for gaming. Can anyone out there expand on  this? Do any of you guys have problems with the game, using a TFT monitor?

I guess I'm looking for recommendations.

Thanks :)

CRT's are still the best choice for gaming.  I periodically take a peek at the various options to CRT and am still waiting for a comparable solution that works as well for games.
I have not found one.
