Head Movement & Tracers
« on: October 12, 2000, 04:49:00 PM »
Well guys..

Ive just finished watching the latest wwiionline movie. It is taken from the cockpit of a Spitfire. Looks like they have included our Zoom & Head movement feature that is currently in AH.

But what i was very dissapointed in was the tracers. The damn rounds come outa the cannons looking like plasma balls with a tail. Looks like there sticking with WBs style cartoon fireballs as tracers. In 1994/95 when WB came out this was an improvement over AW DOS tracers, but by now i woulda thought that the way HTC has tracer would be a standard for the year 2000 and any sim up and coming.

I hope there Battleship rounds look a bit more realistic. I intend to try there Ships out when they get up and running.

Other than horrible looking tracers, the movie shows a preview that i would concider comparable to AH..

HT has modeled tracers the way i would expect to see them.

Dog out..

Wardog, I wouldn't worry about the tracers at this stage. WWII Online's nowhere NEAR finished and such features are obviously going to be pretty low on the priority list.
