Cobra412,
Oh yea! I encounter the same issues. Just to name a few:
1. Mirrored Nose Section – The entire front fuselage starting from the windshield forward is mirrored using the skin from the left side. That means any paint schemes with nose art (such as a name) won't work.
2. Fuselage Halves Different Heights – The left side is taller than the right. Their lengths seem to match fairly well.
3. Gear Doors – With the gear down, the skin for the gear doors does not match where the doors are shown under the wing. You also cannot draw the inner gear doors because the fuselage covers them.
There are plenty of others.
I actually started on the P-15B skin back in AH1 but didn't find a paint scheme that would work. Found this paint scheme while doing P-51D skins, and I don't think it really works that well because the model's material specularity is too low for natural metal finishes. There has been some talk about letting us skinners control the speculartiy – that would be sweet.
I don't know what HT's plans are for the "B"; but until they improve this skin, they won't be getting 15 different paint schemes.
