OK, for "over modeled" what would you be basing this on? Real life fighters, tanks, boats? If so, having done all of these things some of these old time WWII historians would know your name, lets hear it!
If not, then you must be comparing it with other games, and the key word here is "game". No things are not perfect tho some real life pilots like the modeling. But some compromises must be made... beacause it is a game.
What you seem to be missing is the group interaction, camaraderie, and the friendships that grow with this game. You must be a ""newbi". A "newbi" is not just some "greenhorn" in the air for a few kills, a newbi is someone who hasn't been in AH for at least a year. This game tho playable in 15 mins of studing, has a huge learning curve due to all of the availible options you have. Not only are there different vehicles including land sea and air. There are different types of each group, all with there own differing characteristics.
So if you like jumping into some lazer equiped vehicle on some lost and forgotten planet to just run around and blast friend and foe alike, then use DJ's suggestion above. On the other hand if you want to learn the skills needed to succeed with any regularity then I suggest you join a squad, spend some time in the training arena, or just talk to some people about the game.
if you base your news paper articles on such short trials and obvious lack of research it mustn't be much of a colume, tho I've never read it so I shouldn't say.
