Bourne Supremacy

Anyone else think the 1st Bourne movie was good? Once you get past the fact that it had little to do with the book, it was a good action flick. Looking forward to the next installment.

BTW I think Ludlum is a hack. Nice outline for a story, but he writes terribly.

That movie I did enjoy. I didn't read the book so I had no book details to go on. The wife and I will probably see the second movie tomorrow evening.

Hell, I'd watch it just to see Franka Potente again. ;)

The movie was good,  the camera angels were a little strange in some parts,  but it was worth the watch

He tries to decribe his characters through the conversations in the book... drives me nuts.

ie: "Well, my 6 foot 2 inch blonde haired friend. Since you quit playing professional hockey, how has the work gone on your doctorate?"

idiotic.

great car chase scene in the 2nd one.  Man did that shooting style get old with me, this MTV shaky camera crap.  Gave me a headache.

No, but then again I think most movies suck.

Yeah, that's about right.  He's great at the surprise-after-surprise-after-surprise plots, but his characters are shallow (or painfully lame), and he has a poor ear for the language.

In fact, they read a lot like mainstream hollywood movies.  I'm surprised it has taken so long for his books to be filmed.

I walked out of the Blair Witch Project after 10 minutes due to the "shaky camera".

It was a decent film.  I liked it a bit better than the first.  I thought the car chase was really well done.

I'm not a big ludlum fan though... I find most of his books to be of the same basic formula.  A killing machine built by the government decides he wants to be a good guy and the government isn't willing to let that happen.  That's only after 3 books, but the underlying plot was always the same.
