Lots of "Switch to TCP" failures recently...
« on: July 27, 2004, 10:59:08 AM »
I have noticed over the past could days, I have been consistently getting a "UDP not available, switching to TCP" message as soon as I log on.  The connect is worse, with more discos (presumably TCP timeouts I guess).  Is anyone else seeing this the past few days only, where before everything was fine?  Or is this just on my end?

OK, thanks for the link.  Yeah this must be the problem--now that I think about it, it just started with release 6.

So the solution is, log out and log back in, without quitting the game.  The thing is, though, I believe I tried doing exactly that, and it didn't work.  Maybe just a fluke...I'll try again a few times now that I know it is a known bug.
