just notice this new member rating thing.  What in hell is this?

i ask, what is the point of this, and how to we rate a player/poster?

number of posts?
weight?
hair colour?
helpful or not?
funny?
pilot skill?
current level of intoxication?
flaming ability?
annual salary?
trolling success?
number of times quit or threatened to quit?
number of chog/niki dweeb whine posts?
whether you agree with their political slant?

please HTC, throw me a bone.. what the heck is this system for and why should we use it to "rate" our fellow gamers?
