Intermitent stoppage

Ok, doesn't really qualify as a "stutter".  Doesn't happen too often but it's bad when it does.

Connection is generally very good.
FPS hangs around 60 (never much more, or less)

Every once in awhile, the game just stops (freezes).  About 3-5 seconds, then comes back just fine.  During the freeze, the sound loops (noticed this when someone was transmitting over vox just as freeze started).  Freeze lasts long enough to hear loop probably 4 times or so.  It "seem's" like it's sound related.  Usually happens when another plane suddenly gets close, or I'm just pulling the trigger.

Again, not a whine, more of a "bug" report (which I'm aware could be my system).

DFI Lanparty i875B
3.0ghz P4 (Prescott)
1gig DDR 400
Ti-4600 G4 Vid
Soundblaster Extigy (USB...hmmm)
Sidewinder FF Joystick (USB)

Overclocked to 3.2g, however testing has proven the problem happens at 3.0g also.

I never profess to be a comp wiz, but it sounds like your having
an IRQ conflict with the sound card.  Try another PCI slot
for your sound card.

He has a USB based sound card.  And your "hmmm" is probably correct Tumor.

That mommaboard would not happen to have an onboard sound chip you could test with?

unplug USB.....

Try either on board or your other card just to see if it will correct your stutter.

try onboard 1st, like that you won't have to open your box.

As an experiment, it all depends on what is easier to do for you.
