Toad,
You know I grew up in Salina.

November...I'm there.   Still have lots of places I'm sure I can line up for us.

MT,
You would like it, especially watching a good dog work.

I'm sure I would. I'd just like to let my dog run free in a field. Not much opportunity for that here.

Been to Salina once. I liked it. Great old homes and a feeling of community.

We'll we'd have to put him on a lead rope ~ 30 feet long.

Funny things happen to normally obedient Labs when they first get a snootful of hot pheasant scent.

I mean, you do want to see him again, right?

Pongo :

No moderns here. WW2 stuff in 1/285. Still trying to complete the collection with late war stuff like Panthers, Comets, JS 2's and Easy 8's. At the rate I'm going I'll be 80 before it gets done.

Narsus : Really? I'm very doubtful. Can you give me any clues?

MT,
Yeah, that's Salina.

It was a good place to grow up.

If you go there again, let me know.  I'll take the time and drive back there.

It used to have a great pizza place called The Scheme.  If it's still there you have to try it.  That and Cozy Burgers.  Just don't go in there to get them.  You'll never get the smell off your clothes.

obedient? LOL

He's pretty good, not great. He does go deaf when a rabbit flushes or a ground squirrel is nearby.

I think he'd be pretty good at working a field though. Seams to naturally work the area. No qualms about crashing through brush.

He is pretty good on a leash now. When we use the extension leash he will never cross a street without waiting for me. I better have a good grip if a cat goes by though.

Remember he was 3-4 years old when I got him. Lots of bad habits.
