HTC Question
« on: July 29, 2004, 09:48:12 PM »
Greetings :)

I introduced approx. 6-7 people &  their friends to AH, all of
them enjoyed the trial period flying in several arenas but mostly the H2H.

Since AH2 my friends keep asking me as to why they keep spinning & crashing, the answer to that is that even in the H2H arenas the STALL LIMITER is OFF!  :(

During 1 ofc meeting we were wondering if AH2 would/could open a seperate arena to fly in w/o Stall Limiter being off.  That in itself
would satisfy folks' different tastes, likes & dislikes & from a fi-
nancial feasibilty viewpoint  that may attract more business for
HTC.

People who think they're macho flying w/o Stall Limiter have what
they want & others fly the way they want, thusly everybody is happy in their own created environments.

HTC ur reply is kindly solicited.  TY.

Cheers,

Happy1  :D

P.S. the word "Macho" was/is NOT meant w/malice.

happy1.. it is up to who hosts the arena to set stall limiter to be enabled or not.

H2H is all people indepentdent of HTC hosting games.

HTC has no control over how they set the arena.
I don't know what to put here yet.

Under Setup>Arena Setup>Environment>Arena Settings, there should be a value called FlightModeFlags. Click Change and select Stall Limit Enabled, Stall Limit Disabled, or Stall Limit New User for a higher-level stall limiter like in the training arena.

It's up to you to TURN ON the stall limiter when it's enabled. In Setup>Preferences>Flight, X the box that says Enable Stall Limiter.

In all of the HTC arenas (Maybe not the SEA) stall limiter is avialable, but not mandatory.

I remember WAAAY back when AH1 came out. I got in, loaded up a heavy corsair with bombs, DT, and rockets... lol, I spun out so fast I was thinking "wth???"

It takes time. However, the stall limiter is not very good because it limits your ability to pull Gs. I'd just use the "auto takeoff" and NOT use the stall limiter. As a suggestion.
