Author Topic: Possible Panzer bug? (Read 357 times)

Last night I drove a panzer to the shore so that my girl and I could enjoy the submarine races. They were REALLY deep!
Lo and behold we were interrupted by a lone PT boat driving into shore and firing on my base. This just couldnt be tolerated during racetime, so I loaded my gun and fired upon this peace destroying savage.
I was firing approximately 3.0 out from the instigator when all of a sudden he dissappeared. I could still hear his engine running and see the wake moving behind his boat( I still knew where he was and where he was heading, but I could not see him at all! All of a sudden he pops into view again, right where his wake and sound showed he should be! I aim, adjust for his speed and POOF! He dissappears again! It happened 3 times during one run alone. I garnered 3 kills against this individual and this same "glitch" happened during each run. A squaddie was close by and had the same thing happen to him, so I discount it being something on my system.
Anyone else seeing this happen?

1/3 my squad last night lost the CV below them.

they couldnt see the ack, or the boats, while the other 1/2 of us could. very odd.

(they were about 4k and lower in alt we were all of A61 on mindanao)

this only happened after someone killed the carrier, and the cruiser was already dead. abtou 1 min after the carrier went down they lost vis. (no it did not respawn, i helped gun out the support ships, then killed 3 PT's before RTB).

JB73 you need to be in ground vehicle range, as a PT boat is treated like a GV.

im not talking about PT's or the above situation... just an example of missing objects. (ships of a CV to be exact)

i saw everything. there were 3-4 squaddies that the whole CV group dissapeared right below them, whie the rest in the area could still see it.

it wasn't that they could never see it, or PT boats.

they were looking at it 1 second then the next it was gone.

all the while i am right there in icon range of them shooting at the CV myself.
