Graphics Card Question
« on: August 05, 2004, 08:39:11 PM »
After long search, Discovered I have a 4x AGP Slot, plugged into it is a Geforce 2 MX 100/200.

Looking to upgrade as soon as possible, But I have some questions, Most of the cards I'm looking at say there 8xAGP and written on my MB it says "no AGP cards over 1.5V"...

If I bought an 8xAGP card would it hurt my puter?

So how do I go about finding the best card for me?, money is no concern.

Thanks in Advance,

Nefari
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

AGP 8x and 4x cards both use 1.5V signaling.  Your board will work with virtually any AGP card you will find.  Only some of the very first AGP video cards won't work (we are talking vintage 1998 equipment here...).
