Doom III spoiler question: dont open

... if you're not too far :)

scroll please

Simple question:  At the Satellite uplink control, did you send the transmission for reinforcements or cancel it?  There's an obvious fork in the road here, but both decisions lead you back to the lobby for the monorail to Delta labs.  By cancelling it, Swan and that other guy (bodyguard with the BFG) seem to be on your side.  By accepting it, you piss them off.  I'm not sure which path to take.

I'm heading to the linkup now.  Though I somehow doubt there are multiple endings to this game, here's what I would take into account when making my decision:

-Chances are, in both scenarios you still have to go to hell (either end the infestation or find what Swan wants.

-Chances are, in both scenarios, it's still a single man mission.

-IF I was going to get help when going into hell, I'd rather be at the point of an expeditionary force of Marines than some loose cannon with a BFG.

In either case, I have trouble believing you have a choice.  I'd go back and replay it to see if you can actually do both.

There is a choice.  I agree with the one-man operation regardless though.  I took both routes.   Cancelling has Swan saying "You made the right decision, meet us near the monorail."  The Sarge, or whatever he's called, comes in on the radio and says "Get your bellybutton back and send that message."  Even if you go back and attempt to xmit, the screen says the message is deleted by E. Swann.

Transmitting gives you a message from Swann calling you a fool, and suggesting the creatures might take Marine ships to Earth.

Either way, the monorail gets ****ed up and you're forced to traverse the Recycling plant.  No biggie though, I just found me a rocket launcher.

I dont want to go to hell :)

either way you go to hell.  If you cancel it the bad guys says later on that he would get to the ships anyway.

I just hit that part myself... so disappointing...  well, maybe not really.  It's what I would expect at this point.
