I dont have much info hopefully otheers can contribure but a U-Boat Sunk by the CG in 1943or44 is found it was detected by the cg after it sunk and american liner.

It was found by an offshore oil exploration unit. Problem is that it is under 5,000' of water. That maens no one will be visiting it.  ;)

The story said that the U boat was sunk the day after it sank a US passenger freight ship. It was found and bombed by a patrol aircraft.
