Well .... dunno if ah really gots the talent, Mr. S buts ah tries.
Welcome to the Combat Theater, pilots.
The Combat Theater Arena is designed to portray a two-sided historical or quasi-historical setting for Aces High II players to enjoy. Typically the setups will involve Axis versus Allies matches in one of the many historical WWII theaters of operation:
Western or Eastern Europe
The Pacific
China-Burma
The Mediterranian
North Africa
Often they involve specific battles:
Battle of Britain
Operation Overlord
Operation Iceberg
The Ploesti Raid
Rabaul
Planesets are limited to historical matchups relative to the battle and time period as best as can be accomplished by the CT staff with a relative amount of balance considered.
Perk planes may, at times, be offered at no (or relatively low) cost to reflect their availability for certain battles.
Unlike the Main Arena, resets are not the goal here. Due to the restrictions of terrain design in Aces High II, an arena reset will cause the setup to crash. Please adhere to the staff restriction against attacking bases belonging to the non-participating side. The description of what sides are active in the setup and what countires and planes are represented will be mentioned later on in the MOTD.
All players are encouraged to enjoy the experience of this mixture of full-time arena play and a scenario atmosphere. Most of the CT regulars are familiar with the premise and operations of this arena and will be willing to answer your questions as well as wing with you. If you have friends who fly with you in the main arena that you think may like to give this a try, by all means, bring them along. All are welcome.
Thank you for visiting the Combat Theater and we hope that you enjoy your time here.
