A squadmate bailed out over an enemy base and his pilot icon/chute landed near the runway. Out of boredom, he wandered over to the runway. A buff spawned and as the lead buff rolled through him, it blew up and he got a kill. He saw damage on the two remaining buffs.

I hope you are mistaken, as a player with time on his hands might be tempted to exploit this. It sounds like a misapplication of the collision logic (the buff FE sees a "collision", and blows up; apparently the pedestrian wasn't looking at the buff, so his FE didn't see a collision?).

On the other hand, he may have been a terrorist and just walked into the runway and blew himself up. (sorry for the sick humor)
Hmmmmmm I wonder if troops from a Goon or M3 might have the same result? hehehe Dropping troops in front of a rolling formation might get ugly! Nary a shot was fired!

My stats show I was killed by a Chute once.

I know I can suck at this game sometimes but dang.

Any idea how this could happen?
