Hello gents and ladies!

The boys at http://www.gennadich.com are currently testing a 64 player IL2 Forgotten Battles dogfight server. As you know, the "regular" dedicated server allows only 32 players.

The server shows up in HyperLobby as "64xPlayers_GT". The direct IP is: 212.13.119.180:21000

The setup is a classic furball with a 1942-43 planeset. Short icons, minimap path and speedbar are enabled. Otherwise full real.

My squad was on ealier tonight. Its very fun but since we connect from America our ping with 200-300. Lotsa micro warps due directly to ping times.

Its great to  see 64 x 64 and the plane match ups were the best.

I get tired of late war US vr. LW. Its too easy for us :p

The Crimea map playes welll and the fights were everywhere form the deck to 4000m.

I hope we saw more 64 x 64 servers in the future.

Wotan, manually change the connection speed to 56k or ISDN. HL defaults it to 14k!  In flight, press ESC - connection - change it. It is also good to disable the skin download.

 have skin download off but I didnt know HL defaulted to 14k.

I have dsl (3 meg dl /  384 up). I will set it to dsl and try again. I love the match ups on that server.

I set mine to 20k, works great.

Wotan, I fly VWF (although I haven't fly much in the last month).

In VEF, I fly LW, Maybe I'll join your squad :D

I run a TS server for my squad. We will be on (some of us) HL tonight at 9 EASTERN US.
