Saburo, Dragstrip with 400

I dunno if you got the zip file i sent.

My replacement 100-400 was giving me a persistent "error one" message, i took it back to Canon and rattled a few chains, i have a loaner 100-400 ( nearly got a 300 2.8) from their CPS, actually this was shot with their loaner. Even the loaner gives me "error one" the odd time but only when the battery is low, odd eh.

Think i'll take it (their 400) to the MotorCross this weekend and fill it with dust.

Last Pic is 17-40, headons at 350 and panning shots 180-250.

I would not recommend the lens, it's quirky and they know it.

cheers...

As usual, NICE PICS!
I got your email but was afraid of checking the attachment. Got hit with the Bug worm. It's cleared now. Was going to email you back asking about it. I'll go to my business computer and check them out. I'll email you back.
Have you thought of trying the 300mm F/4 IS? That'll be my next telephoto IS lens. Seems to have really good feedback. Did the Canon reps ever tell you why the "Error one" message? Was it related to the IS?
Thanks for the heads-up on the 100-400 lens. I won't have any regret then when I purchase the 300mm. :)
