Ack is useless now. Don't bother manning it.

Planes can fly right down your gunsight and get you every time before you get them. 37mm flak lose the duel every time whether you pump a steady stream of shells right at the attacker, in a cone around its path of flight, or leading it.

How about adding some flak, either increased lethality or new ack choices, that at least has an equal chance the way it used to be?

Would love to be able to man the 88s.

I also think that taking out all the .50's & 20mm has had an adverse effect on gameplay.

Dispersion on the 37mm manned gun is wide enough that its very hard to hit accurately with it.

Ideally, I'd like to see all acks manned only.

When you man an ack it should be like the bomber guns. Have a 37mm center, pair of 20mms, & a pair of .50s. All 5 guns shoot where you point that 37mm.

Same as buff guns do now.

All 5 guns should be in a recogniseable cluster that is big enough a single bomb won't kill them all.

Hardened enough so that it takes a lot of .50's to kill. Would be an ideal target for rockets actually.

Depending on field size, put 3 - 6 of them at each field & 1 at each city. 1 at each V field.

One tihng I have noticed is if you are going over the field extremely fast, 90% chance you will not even get 1 ping. I am assuming the AI ack can't keep up,

Dunno bout AI ack, but I've been in the Maned Ack a handfull of times at a hot field. It's easy to hit planes comming right at you. Took the 3rd "HO" if you will on my ack to bring me down. The rest didnt even get a shot off.
