Mid Range Video Cards
« on: August 16, 2004, 10:04:31 AM »
I was thinking about a new video card and was eyeing those ATI 9800 Pros that have dropped under $200. Now I see that NVidia is coming out with a new generation of mid range cards called the 6600 series that will price out between $150 to $199. I know that the 9800 pro is a real good card but I'm wondering if it will be worth the wait to get a newer generation card at the same price point. Any opinions?

You'll need a new PCI Express MOBO to run the 6600 cards. For now they are PCI Express only, maybe AGP will be available in the future.

Consider a plain 6800.
