proven fact stall limiter does hurt, not so with CT.  only time CT actually "punishes" one is when one is at very high speeds, i.e. 450+

ok Shane, I agree with you on all this except the part, only time CT actually "punishes" one is when one is at very high speeds, i.e. 450+

now in my experience in the P51, if I am trimmed out in the 300 to 350 mph range , and I go vertical  or into a rope, with that trim set  at the aforementioned trim speed I am able to regain my speed faster and have less stick work than I would be to use combat trim (least it feels like it to me), this is how I feel that it henders people ( well henders ME ), I  have to force the stick forward and combat trim don't move fast enough for my liking, so I don't use it.

we just have differing opinions, Shane that is all  :)

Also, if I am using CT I will be more proned to pop into a stall/spin when bleeding the energy from an opponent trying to climb to me, where as I don't use it and use the aforementioned trimmed for level flight at 300 to 350 speed, I can fly the 51 closer to the edge of stall if need be with greater control or even in the 100 mph range scissoring if needed flaps and all, if I use CT I am unable to maintain control when in a slow situation with the nose pitched up attitude, where  the horde comes and I want to cause them to overshoot rather than run away.........I also don't want to be looking like a weeble wobble while doing it with bouncing nose crap. I want to try and fly any maneuver a smooth as possible, I am unable to do this with combat trim turned on, don't ask me why, it just don't work for me.....
so I guess everyone has their own flavor of flying to pick from, I pick the don't use CT flavor.........your more than welcomed to pick any flavor you like

and btw I have flown the P51 in both AH1 and AH2 with combat trim and without, as for just about all planes and I myself don't really see alot of difference in it( CT between AH1 and AH2).  It is possible there could be some but I can't tell it.

and might it be something else entirely and not the way trim is calculated in AH2? maybe the way all the flight dynamics are calculated now verses the way AH did it, and people are assuming it is the trim causing it? or might  Pyro or someone say that yes it has changed or no it has not changed?

last thought, if I start using CT constantly can I be as good as Levi and Shane and all the others that are so danged awesome that use CT full time? I doubt it:rofl
