I have changed sides only twice in 33 months. The first was to join a Bish squad. The second was after the Bish squad disbanded (went to WW2OL) and I was pissed off. I joined Rook because they were down to 2 fields, and I fancied having a go in a Me163 which were going cheap for Rooks.

i'm only loyal to the underlying concept of why these flight sims were created...
Surrounded by suck and underwhelmed with mediocrity.
I'm always right, it just takes some poepl longer to come to that realization than others.
I'm not perfect, but I am closer to it than you are.

In AW I flew B alot (when I wasn't flying for A or C) because I liked red better than light blue or green -- YMMV.

Here, when I'm not flying for Bishop or Rook, I fly Knight because it's the most impressive Chess piece, IMO, and has a connotation to "Knights of the Air."

Haven't been flying all that much lately because it's been summer in Chicago, but I can gurantee I'll be flying a lot more for Knights, Rooks or Bishops come fall.

I'm loyal to my squadmates, but not to any country. They all look the same to me.

I started flying knights when AH first went pay for play. At that time either the rooks or bish tended to outnumber it up to 2 to 1.

In beta I'd flown all 3 sides, enough to see there was very little real difference between them.

Am I loyal to a chess piece, no.
I am loyal to those I fly with on a regular basis. I know who I can trust to clear my 6, who to believe when they check 6 me. And who I can count on to defend or attack when needed.

Since the knights STILL tend to be outnumbered more often than not I really see no reason to switch.

However if the #'s were reversed I'd certainly think about it, if only for a tour or 2.

Loyal to squad. When Rooks were down on numbers we switched form Knit. Went to Bish when Rooks got their numbers up and Bish were low.
