No Rip, it isn't. It's symtomatic of what of the biggest problems in the US right now.

I don't see humor as a problem. Maybe you should try it.

The PROBLEM as I see it is that to many people outside of the US think we should give a rats bellybutton what they think.
I have been reborn a new man!

Notice I never said a better man.

Sure, generally the Republicans think it's funny when someone makes fun of the Democrats and visa versa, but rarely does the other party feel that way.  It's devisive BS, that tries to have pretentions to actual discourse.

I'm glad you find it humourous Rip, but neither it, nor you, have actually addressed your previous statement at all.

I don't know what you want Thrawn.  You're just proving a point, the left has NO sense of humor when the barrel is pointed at them.  Maybe you should file a complaint at The Onion?

I explained plainly.

thrawn... I do believe the message of the libertarians.   I simply do not wish to throw my vote away.

In an election where the sissy socialist democrats and their wives are losing badly I will vote libertarian.

Thank you.  To answer your question about the hate mongering.  When it comes to these "humorous" posts I find that you are most prolific out of either side of the polical fence.  I find that you when it comes to any sort of political comment on your part, they almost completely lack in any sort of substance but rely on innuendo, sarcasm and redicule.  Your contempt seems patently clear based on this.  I don't know what the hell happened, Rip at least you used to be able to post somewhat objective, meaningful posts on politics...I don't know what the hell happened.
