Well when you bail out you do have a pistol in your hand, why not make the thing usefull?  Might be handy when over an enemy base or having a duel with another player who also bailed.  I actually managed a pilot kill on a guy after bailing in WBIII so it isn't an absolute pointless ability.  Ten shots of 7.7mm would feel about right.  No need to design a new bullet size when something already exists in the game which would work.

welcome to AH. i see by the date you registered you are new here.

i will warn you that many people are going to come along probably and either laugh, or virtually "yell" at you for posting that idea.

the only reason being is it has been brought up probably 1000 times on this board.

you did not know that, and i find no fault with a new person posting a suggestion. i know it seems like a fun idea.

i just wanted to apologize in advance for some of the other BBS people who might be less than nice about this topic.

<<>> sir and i hope you enjoy the game. stay with it, it will be more addicting than crack in a few weeks
I don't know what to put here yet.

Well, I'm new to the boards but not the game.  Thanks anyway.  Although the simple fact that I made the same suggestion as apparently many other people before me shows that it's a popular idea.

On the subject of action after bailing, there's a bit of a hole that should be shut to prevent cheating.  If you bail over an enemy field then go and trot around on the runway near where planes are taking off (let them run you over actually - you don't die) then when those planes crash after takeoff you get credited with a kill for "flying" them into the ground effectively.

I got three kills in about 10 minutes doing that.

And all without any ammo in my pistol!  So who needs it.

Seriously I think the above bug should be fixed.
