« on: September 09, 2004, 08:19:21 PM »
hey guys got a question for ya.  i just put in a new power supply as my old one was not cut out for the job.  now sometimes i hear a fan come one, i assume from the power supply, followed by a quick "pause" then everything returns to normal until i hear the fan stop, rinse and repeat.  is pretty annoying, wondering if harmful to computer, any ideas, thx

the fan is supposed to be on all the time.  take the
PS apart and make sure its connector is plugged in all the way.
If thats not the prob, just buy a new fan..they are cheap

Ya know when I put in my newest PS,when I booted up it did that.It would start...pause and then get er done.If its at Power up,I wouldnt worrk.I got a Cyber power AVC with battery backupo.Problem solved.Trailer power isnt the cleanest.
