See this? This is my boom stick! The 12-gauge double-barreled Remington. S-Mart's top of the line. You can find this in the sporting goods department. That's right, this sweet baby was made in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Retails for about $109.95. It's got a walnut stock, cobalt blue steel, and a hair trigger. That's right. Shop smart. Shop S-Mart. You got that?

I had no interest in seeing Freddy v. Jason.  The next movie, however, I will see roughly ten thousand times.

I'm guessing  Sam Raimi won't be directing?  Wonder if the Ash character would be any good without Raimi at the helm.

From Sandman's article:
Quote

Jason's [franchise] hit a new low with 2002's Jason X ($13.1 million)

At work when this came out I overheard this exchange:
Drone #1: "the "X" means there have been 10 of these movies?"
Drone #2: "Yeah, what did you think it meant? He converted to Islam?"

Denise was out of town with the baby the weekend Freddy v. Jason came out. I like to take the time to go see a movie that Denise had NO interest in seeing when she's gone, so I went ahead and saw that one. It was funny. I liked it.

It will be interesting having a certified "hero" in the next one, but it does seem to jumble the typical monster mash dynamic, where one monster or the other becomes the unlikely hero.

Other characters in need of box-office boosts who might consider checking their egos at the door: Child's Play's Chucky, Halloween's Michael Myers, the shark from Jaws and Kevin Costner
i was just talking to a buddy this weekend, and we both concluded Michael Myers could kick freddy's but, and probably give jason a run for his money.

Michael Myers was probably one of the scariest, bad-arse dudes when i was a kid. great villan.
I don't know what to put here yet.
