Yes, the big one under the belly is the engine cooler, while the two under the nose are oil coolers.

It has, It has, not as much as a P51D, maybe, but it has 6 wiew. In fact the rear "hunch" is not conformed like for example, the hurricane, if you see it from the front, it has a sort of "pear" section so you can see through the space left from the canopy and the armor plate. I ask -gatt- for help, he posted in this forum a photo of a Macchi fighter in a desert field, with a pilot or mechanician resting on the left wing. you can see the Macchi from behind and you see that the canopy doesn't copy the rear hunch and you'll see what I mean:-)

Here we are:

Something like a P40 six view, IMHO.

... the Eyeties are comparatively easy to shoot down. Oh, they're brave enough. In fact, I think the Eyeties have more courage than the Germans, but their tactics aren't so good. They are very good gliders, but they try to do clever acrobatics and looping. They will stick it even if things are going against them, whereas the Jerries will run.

This is a Macchi MC205. Yes that is a radiator, in the open position. This is a series 3 MC205, as shown by the wing mounted 20mm cannon.
The ways to show this is a MC205 and not a MC202 are:
1   The can shaped thing under the engine is
   one of two oil coolers.
2   the 20mm cannon.
3   It has "Macchi 205" painted on the tail.

This Macchi MC205 may have been rebuilt from a MC202 airframe, as the new-built MC205 had a retractable tail-wheel.

The Macchi 205 was neither more nor less than a 202 with the 1475hp DB engine.
Not a single modification was made on the aircraft, except those to accomodate the new engine and the 2x20mm cannons.
The bigger engine exalted the excellent characteristics of the airframe: the 205 combined excellent maneuverability, high climb rate (5'03" to 18200 ft full ammo+100% fuel) and high diving speed (up to 590 mph), making it quite deadly at low/medium altitude (under 20000 ft).
The airframe was very complicated, 21000 hours were needed to build a Macchi!, but really strong (it could hold +/- 15g).
