ToD Explanation

OK, I know I should know this already, but I can't remember reading a description of Tour of Duty (ToD). Could someone kindly (or unkindly) point me to a thread where it is explained? Please?
:)

ToD - mission based theater where missions are sever generated and run at a given time interval (15 min was mentioned). You will have 2 avatars (personas) and will earn points based on how well you perform in the mission and how successful the mission is. These points will help you earn rank. If you die you will lose points and if you loose enough points you will get demoted. You will be required to fly training missions to earn “your wings”. If you loose all your points you get sent back to training.

There will be no base capture. Bombers and possibly gvs will be AI. You will be able to fly bombers yourself but the bomber numbers will be supplemented by AI. Missions will include sweeps, defense, escort, jabo recon and bombing.

HT has hinted at the idea if you earn the highest rank you may be able to generate missions for your side.

The Tours will run based on theaters. I am not sure if the theaters will span a time frame or if they will be run a consistent plane set.

HT has hinted about higher ranking players getting better planes. There was something said about less gun jams, better power etc.

If you fly in the online wars over in FB I imagine it would be similar.

There are no publicly available detailed explanations.

There is an old interview:

When there was the AH:TOD forum here there were a couple of posts by the folks at HTC (not exagerating. "A couple..." would be a fair count)  that hinted at what they TOD would be. Nothing very detailed or specific however.

The AH_II "FAQ"  (or as far is it ever got....)
