They could also help with assigning trainers for new guys as well. Seems like this kind of thing could go a long way to improve retention and the pilot experience. Maybe I am making it too simple. Just thinking out loud.

Whether the ENY thing works or not I was just wondering...
Would it be possible to recruit some guys (or girls) to take leadership roles in each country to organize squads, recruit, create special events, welcome new members, etc. etc.? Perhaps they could receive a discount or free membership as a reward for helping organize the AH community. They could also be a sounding board for the HT team about what is happening in the game. Might help with some of the balancing issues too as these people could communicate and talk about how to work it out or work with squads in country to see if some will rotate. In other words...bring some leadership out of the community rather than just deal with the masses.
Probably needs a lot more thought or maybe it has been tried before and failed so no dice, but I figured it seems to work quite well in other organizations so I'd throw it out there.
