Seeing as a couple of F6F-3s were allowed on the last batch of skins, I thought I'd try a Hellcat Mk I. The mirroring of both fuselage sides and the tail has forced me to be a little creative. The squadron letters should read "E W" and not "T W" as I've got it and I've had to leave the airframe number off. Also the tail is camouflaged on the underside. Hopefully this will all clear Skuzzy's bogusity filter. :)

It still needs a week or so's work WRT weathering.

That's good news Greebo. Submitted a P47D-1 today using the D-11 skin.

Working on a D-22 using the D-11 skin also.

Does he have a bribe thing going ??

HTC's staff are of course unbribable......you have to go straight to HT. A bottle of Scotch, isn't it? :)

Since they decided to completely redo all the planes' art, maybe they are letting some more of the slightly marginal issues through. Once the new skin file is done, all the old player art for that plane will be obsolete anyway.

Hi Mate

Any chance of doing the TBM in FAA SWPA cammo and markings.

These planes did a super job over Formosa and SE Asia in WWII.

Noticed that you have done the corsair.

Great job mate.

Wish an old goat like me could learn how to do this.

By the way, one of my hobbies is WWII Allied aviation.  Have quite a lota of material on those aircraft.

Thanks and by the way, is there a website where I can download the skins for use offline?

Hi Majors.
I doubt I'll be doing a TBM as it has the same mono-colour tail problem as the F6F. This bug originally put me off doing the above 800 Squadron skin. However, as I'd already got the F6F template done it was only a few days more work to do the new colour scheme so I thought "what the hell".

Skinning a TBM from scratch is a month or two's work for me. As HTC will be replacing the artfile at some point and as I wouldn't be able to do it completely right because of the tail bug, I really couldn't get up enough enthusiasm to do it. Besides, Rogerdee has already done a couple of very nice TBMs.

If I do another completely new skin it will be the A-20G/Boston. This has the option of US, British, South African, Australian, Soviet and French schemes and as far as I know, no one else is working on it. Some initial research has revealed some bugs in the skin which has put me off a bit, but I may come back to it. Otherwise I'll look at completing the F4U set, with an F4U-4 and F4U-1C.

Hi Rogerdee and Greebo

Very nice work both of you.  I imagine you have to do these things pixel by pixel.  Amazing.  Too much for an old sod like me.

As for the A20.  Seems that in some different terrains, there was a soviet modeled.  Aussie, South African would be nice.

As a low level buff driver, A-20, B26 and Boston are my rides.

Keep up the good work.

I've gotta say Greenbo but your skins are absolutely amazing.  Very hard to compete with that kind of work.
