This site  shows the THREE citations Kerry recieved for his Silver Star over the years.  Apparently the first one wasn't good enough.

Wow,

Did not know all of that regarding the citations....

simply amazing that someone can behave in that manner...

IMHO Kerry is a shady shikester and has no business being in the whitehouse.

Aug 24, 2004 - Drudge Report:

Kerry's campaign now says is possible first Purple Heart was awarded for unintentional self-inflicted wound...

Kerry received Purple Heart for wounds suffered on 12/2/68...

In Kerry's own journal written 9 days later, he writes he and his crew, quote, 'hadn't been shot at yet'.

I wonder if Kerry is going to blame Bush for this too.

Bush lied, Bush is Hitler, Kerry is not Bush.

That alone will get him ~45% of the vote you know.

This is real cute, trying to deflect a story before it gets legs.

Y'all know that there's an investigation, not a formal one but rather one being done by ex-military activists, being conducted right now that is trying to figure out how GWB was able to wear two decorations. Specificly the AFOUA is becoming of interest.

In the various documents released by GWB none indicate he was awarded the AFOUA and right now the 'investigators' are trying to get info on if it is/was approved for temporary wear.

To quote an often used phrase these days 'If you're slinging dirt you're loosing ground'. Seems to me that tossing some back is fair play though.

More to come I'm sure.

Once again: bring up Kerry's record, and "Bush" is the retort. Nice olé, matador!

the dumbacrats are just peeved that Kerry peaked a month ago and is starting to look like the Titanic...

Good comment Eagler, I have been thinking the same thing.

Kerry would do good to remember that he'd have lost if Dean had never let out that "YYEEEAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGHH HHH!!!!"
Kinda sad that he is considered the "second best"

LOL

Wow, it's amazing that anyone could continue reading that article after the first paragraph, thinking it was going to be an unbiased look at any issue involving Kerry.

the difference being Bush is not touting is guard exp every time he gets a soap box.

Not to mention an AFOUA?????

aka

Air Force Outstanding Unit Award

talk about a lowly award I war a MUC (meritorious unit citation) for a year without knowing I didnt rate it.  The orders that I had for the award never made it to our unit admin to be put in my SRB.

Do I feel ashamed????? no those are gimme ribbons.

I still rate the ribbon but dont even bother trying to have it added to my records.  This the best the bush haters can come up with?

Regarding the AFOUA, like Gunslinger said, it's a unit award. All he has to prove is that he was assigned to the unit during the period for which it was awarded, very easy to do. I had 2 or 3 btw.

That's the rub. The AFOUA was possibly awarded in '66 to that group, two years before GWB's hitch started.

Personaly, I think he just wanted something other than his marksmanship ribbon under the his wings. No big deal, lots of fresh enlistees make mistakes like this.
