Flak having both tracks shot off
« on: August 25, 2004, 01:35:24 PM »
I was at A158 last night and had both of my tracks shot off.  When this happened, the flak starting to bounce around violently.  Eventually it flipped over and it was half underground, still rocking from front to back very rapidly.  I was finally killed, but before I was shot for the last time, I flipped back over again.  All of this happened in one spot, the flak wasn't traveling by itself or anything.

This issue with the flak losing both tracks is something I've dealt with before.  A few patches ago, when it both tracks were gone, it would rock to the point you couldn't hit anything.  But it wouldn't flip itself over.

I don't have film, but it's easy to imagine.  Lose both tracks.  You start to rock around uncontrollably.  You flip over and continue to rock around.  You flip back over, still rocking all over the place.

I can verify this as the guy who finally killed him.  When I got there the ostie was upside down and bouncing up into the air.  It also seemed remarkably durable considering I was shooting the bottom of the flak.

Tiger did the same thing in AH1 when ever you lost both tracks... this bug may have migrated to AH2, must have cockroach genes.

Yeah, I was wondering how many hits that thing was going to take.  That was the most durable vehicle I have ever been in.
