Getting ready to move
« on: August 25, 2004, 11:35:06 AM »
Decided to put my career aside to focus on family, so looking to move from Los Angeles back to Eugene, OR.  Pretty crazy housing market here, we listed our house for twice what we paid 3 years ago and immediately got 4 full price offers.

Don't know what I'll do in Eugene, I'm hoping I'll find an opportunity with my current company, but if not, I suppose I can always make pizza at our shop.  :D

Anyone else ever do this?  Any advice/heads up on challenges?

Chairboy, you are making a great decision! I think you will be very happy with the results.

BTW, I never saw a GOOD pizza joint go out of buisness!

An update:

Wow, just got back from the real estate office.  I just accepted an offer for 30K over the asking price, and there were other offers right below it.  So definately moving soon!

I think we'll buy some apartment buildings in Oregon as well as a nice little house.  Don't have a job lined up yet, but I'm looking.
