Looks very interesting. I'm not really a Pacific kind of guy, but I love strategy games like that. Is the AI any good?
Have you ever played "The Operational Art of War: Century of Warfare"?

anyone remember the Avolon Hill games?
"Blitzkreig"n particular?
HUGE map.
Spent an entire summer playing that game over and over with a friend of mine.
Wish it was ported over to the PC

I will be picking this one up.  I started playing Uncommon Valor again this past weekend to see if I still had any interest in this type of game.  Figured out I do.:aok

Cod, I want to try it...

Only problem is with flight lessons running 200 a week, and having just spent 250 on a headset, I can't go spending $70.00.
on a game right now.

Played my first short scen, the Coral Sea one and the AI was MUCH more aggressive than in UV, still some funky targeting by land based bombers at  PM but got the usual Japanese Tactical Victory.

Still reading the manual about production and logistics before I try one of the bigger scens.

lol, Wotan:), Actualy this guy Subchaser made the Baner for me over on the WiTP forum.

.............

The AI is not bad, but not without fault, I was able to real put the hurt on the TF they sent to Rabaual to capture it with Just one French DD, and a couple Austrailian Cruzers, finialy after 4 Nights the sent a CV down to intercept me, but I had buged out having ran out of 6 Inch Ammo for the Cruzers and all my Torps, Playing the AI is a good way to learn the Game, the real fun is a live aponet.

So, for those of you who are playing it..is it as good as you first thought?

These games are downloadable only right? What do you do for manuals and such, it looks too complicated to try without one.
