I tried briefly to get AH2 running on XP64 and had no luck. I got a very strange error message:

"Initialization failed with -5 mainSN_FAILED -2"

It was not clear which process or module was reporting this. I went right back to XP32 and flew at 1280X1024X32 with all the sliders on full detail, my frame rates pegged at 82-85 (guess what my refresh rate is :D). When I get XP64 running I'll see if it drives/flies any better or not.

You should turn off vsych in d3d (just for test), just to see how high the frame rates go.

Never had that prob with XP64, is it D3D related?

Like I said, using almost same system, AH2 runs fine under XP64.
Slight frame rate hit, but appears to run 'smoother'.

Usually when DX/D3D throws an error it will indicate it came from them. I was hoping SCSI-dude would pop in here. I almost posted in the AH2 bugs forum but as overlag said, beta OS and beta drivers....hmmmm.

The OS was clean, only 15-20 minute old install. AH2 was installed from the full 2.00.10 download, default settings on everything.

I have no problem with AH2 on Xp pro x64 as well.

AMD, X700 PCIE

its also loading much faster that in classic 16/32 bit windows.
