I can only account for brand name.  Kplish (SP) is an excelent brand of manufacturer of audio.  Creative makes sound cards and dabbles in speakers.

I'd go with the kplish.

Save $100. Klipsch is over priced.

These are bar none the best sounding loudest speakers I have ever heard. Games are completely diffrent when using them.

Its funny you say that Creamo, I had a cheapo set of 2.1's for my laptop that only ended up in the trash because I used the sub as a foot rest and ended up putting my foot through it. But dayum those little suckers where crisp and loud.

I would reall like to get a nicer setup for my desktop tho now that my current setup is beyond help.

If price wasnt a factor between the set you mentiond or the Klipsch, which would you think is the better bet to go with?

if you have an SB audigy2 card get the SB speakers.

even cheap 2.1 creative speakers sound great with the matched soundcard.

personally though i'm really picky about the way my speakers sound (i can't afford what i like though so im stuck).

my personal choice would be to buy them and bring them home from a store. listening to the in your distinct environment will change the sound dramatically from somewhere else.

if bought from a store you can return them easily.
I don't know what to put here yet.

Thank for your quick replies guys!

Unfortunetly JB73, I am most likely going to buy them from Newegg, they always seem to have the better deals. They do in this case also. So buying them and then sending them back is just too much of a pain.

I dont know what to do now. Logitech speakers are loud, and cheaper and all but alot of people say go with the better name such as Klipsch. And Creative seems to fall right in the middle somewhere...

Money no object? I'd get the Klipsch, only because they would sound as good or better, I like the looks and name, and the Logitech isn't top of reliability.

Course if you don't torture the Logitechs, you'd pry have no problems, a terrific speaker package, and $100 for a cooler video card or something.

edit- Well I'd still get the logitechs just out of principle - BTW, if they fail, cut the sub cord and send it in, you get an entire new speaker package, and the extra speakers you keep work great for lotsa other applications like home stereo or the garage.

Me I'd buy the Logitechs simply b/c they are cheaper.  But if you dont care about the $$ by all means get the Klipsch.  About 5 years ago I had a pair of floorstanding Klipsch's, and Golly-gee if those things didnt rock out, 2 10" woofers and A horn midrange/tweeter combo.  I had to sell them though as they wouldnt fit in my apartment.  Oh how I miss them

Thanks for your help guys!

Made me do some thinking and I think i made the right choice.

I went with the Klipsch, and dam...

These are the sweetest sounding speakers I've ever heard on a PC.

The base is, there are no words to describe...

Highs, Lows, Mids... Its all there and tight!

Shakes the house on 50%...  I dont want to imagine what full volume sounds like. But from what i've read, they say its rediculous and it holds together with no problem I cant wait till im home alone. They will be taken to 100% haha. Or atleast 90% :p

Breaking them in now hehe...

Hmmm... not that it matters at this point, but I've been fairly happy with Cambridge Soundworks .
