HiTech .. i dont knwo exactly the calculations you use for rank / scores...

but i do have a concern.

the "attack" score is comprised of many things, and i know some are very good at it. i also know basically how it is calculated

BUT

to name a player for example, NOT acusation in ANY WAY AT ALL, just using as an example.

102jish has a hit % against enemies of over 69%. meaning more than half bullets fired have hit an enemy (almost 3/4 for that matter). and his rank is only 82 meaning there are people with higher than 70% hit in attack somewhere.

yes he is a good shot, yes he is good at the game...

but i find it hard to believe anyone in AH has ever had over half the bullets they fire hit their target. especially considering (if i understand correctly) bullets fired in "attack" count if hits are made againds GV's and planes.

we all know there have been problems with the penetration of small munitions against GV's, but IIRC 303's and the like have always ricchoched (sp??) off armor like panzers.

my guess is that these richoet shots are being counted or something else odd.


myself i carry a hit% of 20.. ranked in the 1300's. going back to tour 34 for example in AH 1 a hit % of 15 in attack got a rank of 1097

lower hit% but higher rank

i onyl bring thsi up becasue i was studying where i am not doing well, and trying to improve

this is only something i came across while trying to better myself in the game, and i hope you can can see the "discrepency" i have possibly found.

Hit % in attack includes hits against buildings... That's why it's so high.

and the hit % on the enemy runway.   it is a target, though its a hard one.

Zazen is right...hits against buildings in attack category.  Actually his attack percentage hits are a bit low in my opinion considering how acurate he is in fighter hits (15%).

My fighter hits are 4% - Attack 57%

Score looks right to me

im talking about the hit% vs enemies. not objects. they are 2 seperate catagories.

or at least they always were in AH1
in AH1 shooting all your rounds into a building only lowered your hit% vs enemies.


thats why im asking if it changed, or is bugged.
I don't know what to put here yet.

In attack mode, the hit % vs enemies has always included hits on buildings even in AH1.

Yea, not sure why but hit % vs. buildings is included in the hit % vs. enemies sub-category on your attack sheet. The hit % vs. objects is just vs. objects however....I agree that it doesn't make sense, but that's how it is and has always been as far as I know.

ok if you guys say so... new tour starting next few days, going to do only 1 attack sortie, put all bullettes into an enemy building.

does anyone know if friendly buildings count?

remember they used to, but HTC changed that quite a while back.

will have to look into that too.
I don't know what to put here yet.

Hit vs. Enemies: % of bullets hitting either enemy plane or building. (unlikely to be over 100%, though I guess a HE-round can damage two buildings close to each other and theoretically give 100%+)

Hit vs. Object: % of structures damaged per bomb or rocket. (Can be several hundred %)

It's exactly the same in GV catagories. Just note that even the 88mm Tiger round is ONE bullet and thus doesn't give any % vs. objects.
For that (at the moment) the only solution is to hit with either rockets or torpedos from the PT-Boat.
